account also the X was to be delivered at Lisbone to the aforesaid Mr&lt;br /&gt;
Abraham Jacobs an Englishman and factor to the producents&lt;br /&gt;
Et ate ad has Arlos noscrit deponese&lt;br /&gt;
Ad 18 dicit that after the seizure aforesaid this deponit&lt;br /&gt;
the said skipper Jacob forne his precontests Anthony Bretton,&lt;br /&gt;
the carpenter of the Experience by there are to chase the round he&lt;br /&gt;
of the experience of what rubbish was there, and to have&lt;br /&gt;
some over board, amongst which rubbish he sayth were&lt;br /&gt;
severall papers and writings which concerned the ship and&lt;br /&gt;
lading, all which papers and writings the said Jacob forced the Captain of the&lt;br /&gt;
Experience to leave over board together with the rubbish. Et ar&lt;br /&gt;
noscrit deponere./&lt;br /&gt;
Ad 19n Arlum dicta Alloms deponit et dicit that these&lt;br /&gt;
were two portugall ships in company of the Experience&lt;br /&gt;
at such time as she was seized, byt sayth they came&lt;br /&gt;
in her company from Brazoole but only met her at&lt;br /&gt;
accidentally at sea; and this deponit knoweth of no agreement&lt;br /&gt;
or promise made at any time by the said Captain Kingsman&lt;br /&gt;
defend or protect either of the said Portugall ships and&lt;br /&gt;
not ever heard any such thing spoken of on board the&lt;br /&gt;
Experience,, and these X he beleaveth there was no&lt;br /&gt;
Such promise or agreement made for that the said shop and&lt;br /&gt;
Company must as he sayth of X have known&lt;br /&gt;

AD 20 dicit that the capyain and company of the expeience before her X&lt;br /&gt;
did not fight with any of the said Dutch ships in defence&lt;br /&gt;
of either of the said Portugall ships or ladings, that said captain and X nor did&lt;br /&gt;
fight with them, or use any hostile acts towards them&lt;br /&gt;
to windward of the Experience as enemies and had given&lt;br /&gt;
one whole broadside at least and a volley of small shot without ever haling&lt;br /&gt;
her, and used severall other hostile injusions acts&lt;br /&gt;
her and her company. The premises he deposeth &amp;amp;#91;GUTTER&amp;amp;#93;&lt;br /&gt;
and observing the same./&lt;br /&gt;
Ad 21n deponit that at such as the Experience was &amp;amp;#91;GUTTER&amp;amp;#91;&lt;br /&gt;

aforesaid she had on board her all the said sugars tobaccos and&lt;br /&gt;
hides and wood which were laden and put on board her at&lt;br /&gt;

Furniture and then went and lay ahead of her until the&lt;br /&gt;
other two Dutch ships called the Orange and the Armes of Zealand also come up. And sayth that as soon&lt;br /&gt;
as the other two ships came up, they fired ther great and&lt;br /&gt;
small shot upon the Experience, and killed her Captaine and one&lt;br /&gt;
more of her company besides a passanger then on board her, and&lt;br /&gt;
then the captain and company of the Orange boarded and surprised&lt;br /&gt;
her, and one of then did after such boarding and surpriseall and&lt;br /&gt;
quarter given, kill one of the Experience her company in cold&lt;br /&gt;
blood. And further sayth that they stripped and plundered&lt;br /&gt;
the mariners of the Experience of all that belonged to them&lt;br /&gt;
and tooke away all theire papers and writings, and such as&lt;br /&gt;
they found which showed that the ship and the lading belonged&lt;br /&gt;
to English, they lost or threw overboard, and then after&lt;br /&gt;
severall other abuses done they carried away the said ship&lt;br /&gt;
and lading to Ponte Vedra in Gallicia, and there turned about&lt;br /&gt;
five and twenty of her company ashore in an enemies country, and&lt;br /&gt;
also did there contrey to law and justice (as this deponit conceiveth&lt;br /&gt;
and without any legall X broake the Experience&lt;br /&gt;
her bulke, and tooke out of her about two hundred and fifty&lt;br /&gt;
chests of sugar, and about twelve hundred rolls of tobaccoe&lt;br /&gt;
and disposed thereof at their pleasure; abd after ten or&lt;br /&gt;
twelve days keeping her these they carried her together&lt;br /&gt;
with the most of her lading to fflushing in Zealand and&lt;br /&gt;
from there to Middlesbrough, and did and still doo keepe&lt;br /&gt;
and detaine the same from the producents, The premises&lt;br /&gt;
he deposeth for that he was carried in the Experience to Gallinier&lt;br /&gt;
and there turned ashore, and then went into every one of the&lt;br /&gt;
these Dutch ships to get passage to Holland or forme other&lt;br /&gt;
plane in friendship with England, but they and all said Dutch companies all tuned him&lt;br /&gt;
ashore, and would not permit him to continue in either of the said ships&lt;br /&gt;
whereupon this depont by stealth getting into the Orange&lt;br /&gt;
hid himself in her until she was out at sea and soo came in&lt;br /&gt;
her to Fflushing n company of the Experience, Et ate noscrit&lt;br /&gt;
AD 15 dicit that during the Experience her remaining at Brazoole&lt;br /&gt;
as aforesaid the said 35 depon did there cause severall bills&lt;br /&gt;
of lading, invoices letters and other papers and writings&lt;br /&gt;
to be put onboard her, which declared and signified the said&lt;br /&gt;
lading then onboard her to belong to the producents Bretton,&lt;br /&gt;
Delboe, Middleton and company, as (he sayeth) in truth they&lt;br /&gt;
did. All which bills of lading, invoices, letters, pepers and&lt;br /&gt;
writings he sayeth came to the hands and possession of the&lt;br /&gt;
three Dutch Captains and companies as some of them, and&lt;br /&gt;
they as some of them lose as threw the same over board&lt;br /&gt;
or caused them to be torne or throwne over board, as&lt;br /&gt;
did otherwise make away with them so that the producents&lt;br /&gt;
cannot have them whereby to put this premise with said&lt;br /&gt;
ship and lading. The premises he seposeth so that hee saw and who was&lt;br /&gt;

Some depons of ?, and particularly one Captain Lorder and ? the said&lt;br /&gt;
Captain Stanton ? that? Very ? have sett to sail in case there had&lt;br /&gt;
Just been some rondant and ? between him and his shipps company&lt;br /&gt;
And further he rondant deposeth :/&lt;br /&gt;

To the 14th: hee refereth himself to his prerondant upon :/&lt;br /&gt;
To the 15th hee sayeth that hee this deponent being a wine ? by ?&lt;br /&gt;
And particularly employed by the said *Company name* and goes to the Isle of&lt;br /&gt;
Wight for and about the  ??. and prosecution of the wine ?savings?&lt;br /&gt;
And brought up this there in the shipps predeposed, well knoweth and we the very&lt;br /&gt;
Apart ?, that there were of the said shipps about 600. ?tubes? of ??&lt;br /&gt;
Wine, which the said Me. Robert Firth did depose might be sold there at the&lt;br /&gt;
Cowes, at some part of them ward, and the rondant whoo brought about in this&lt;br /&gt;
Sort of London, but ther said Captains Stanton and ?? being ?&lt;br /&gt;
And unwilling, thousand  wines remained there  indisposed of for unlawfull ? ??&lt;br /&gt;
And were not ? of London till about the month of July 1652&lt;br /&gt;
In which time there were very nearly perished and wasted of this deposeth&lt;br /&gt;
Sight and observation, who was as being  employed as aforesaid wine  ??&lt;br /&gt;
To gather them aboard the ship who?? They and being the soudling&lt;br /&gt;
And sayeth hee beleiveth and is in con…? Rondand according to his&lt;br /&gt;
Predisposed decliration and employment: both in ?? as a wine cooper&lt;br /&gt;
And in particular as in the Dause in ?? , that the said Robert&lt;br /&gt;
Firth and consorts have really suffered and sustained the damage of&lt;br /&gt;
1500 sterling or thereabouts where they might have fairely and justly&lt;br /&gt;
Gained in ? thousand wines had round to a ? ?, as by the&lt;br /&gt;
