Thirty-two year old Edward Norris deposed on November 24th 1651 in the High Court of Admiralty. He was examined on an allegation on behalf of George Scutt and company in the case of "The Claime of Geo: Scutt the elder George Scutt and Company for the shipp the ''Jane and Elizabeth'' of Poole and the tackle furniture and apparell and lading of ffish in the same taken by a Jersey man of warr and carried into Jersey".<ref>[[HCA 13/65 f.108r Annotate|HCA 13/65 f.108r]]</ref>
