18. To the first article of the allegation given in on the behalfe of
19. the sayd James Lordell and company and John frreeman and
20. Company he deposeth that the arlate James Lordell and
21. Company were and are the true and lawfull Owners and
22. Proprietors of the arlate shipp the Peter of howsam and
23. of her tackle, apparrell and furniture, The premisses he
24. deposeth for that he the deponent was not onely for the voyage
25. arlate wherein she was stranded, but in two former
26. voyages stiersman of the sayd shipp.
27. To the 2d article he deposeth that there were laden aboard the
28. arlate shipp the Peter at Dram in Norway about August
29. last past for the accompt of the arlate Master John ffreeman
30. and Company to the number of above (as he beleeveth)
31. three thousand deales, and about ˹eighty˺ great peeces of timber
32. besides some other balkes and Xses, All the which were
33. to be transported in the shipp Peter of Howsam unto the
34. port of London for proper use and account of
35. the arlate Mr freeeman and Company, The premisses
36. he deposeth for that he having bin Stierseman in all the
37. three last voyages of the sayd shipp did thereby come to
38. well know the sayd Mr ffreeman, and that the sayd
39. goods were consigned to him./
40. To the third article he deposeth that in the sayd shipp the
41. Peter he came from Dram towards London she did with
42. her sayd lading on or about the 11th of September 1657
43. the night time strike uppon the Sand northward of Yarmouth
44. and that therby she became .... leakie and that thereupon
45. the ˹next˺ morning the Master and Company did for the preservation
46. of the sayd shipp and her lading ˹and their lives˺ runne the sayd shipp
47. and goods on shoare at Cromer arlate, and that they .....

49. he deposeth that the Inhabitants of or about Cromer rann dow[ne GUTTER]
