 Judith Chambers was the widowed mother of Dame Rebecca Vincent, herself the widow of the prominent London merchant Sir William Vincent.  Sir William Vincent and Sir George Smith had worked together as merchants in the Levant trade throughout the 1650s, and possibly earlier, and were probably commercial partners.
