One of the company of the ship the ''Jane and Elizabeth'' of Poole in Dorset.

==Evidence from High Court of Admiralty==
Thirty-three year old Thomas Pickett deposed on November 24th 1651 in the High Court of Admiralty. He was examined on an allegation on behalf of George Scutt and company in the case of "The Claime of Geo: Scutt the elder George Scutt and Company for the shipp the ''Jane and Elizabeth'' of Poole and the tackle furniture and apparell and lading of ffish in the same taken by a Jersey man of warr and carried into Jersey".<ref>[[HCA 13/65 f.108r Annotate|HCA 13/65 f.108r]]</ref>

Thomas PIckett stated that George Scutt the Elder and George Scutt and company were the owners of the ship the ''Jane and Elizabeth''. The ship set out from Poole on a fishing voyage to Newfoundland and back to England. Having taken on a lading of ship, she was surprised on her return voyage by a Jersey man of war.<ref>[[HCA 13/65 f.108v Annotate|HCA 13/65 f.108v]]</ref>
