He stated that he knew Moses Durant in 1654 and for the seven years prior to that date. He also knew his father, Robert Durant. Moses Durant was servant to his father in 1654 and for much of 1655, and William Marriot had worked with them. Four years ago Moses Durant had gone to sea in a ship whose master was a Captaine Harewood.
