  • Insert immediately after the sentence or phrase you wish to annotate the following macro:<ref>This is the footnote text</ref>
  • Replace 'This is the footnote text' with the footnote you wish to add, using the format: first name, surname, title, (place of publication, date of publication), page or folio number
  • Save the page

the same which these respondents lost as
aforesaid.

To the seaventh pretended psosition they
answere and beleeve that they can make
noe answere thereunto in regard that all
the things arlate are kept from the sighte
of these respondents and their Agents./.

To the eight pretended position they answere
and beleeve that the said shippe the Anne
nowe the Endeavour arlate hath bine out
of the possession of these respondents by the
space of three yeares, And otherwise they
nor either of them doe not beleeve the
said position to bee true in any parte.

To the ninth pretensed position they
answer and beleeve that the masts boltspritt
rigginge and Cable and Anchors were the
same which are nowe in the shippe the
Anne alias the Endeavour which were in the said
shippe the Anne when these respondents
lost her were the same which belonged to
the said shippe as they beleeve And otherwise
for their parts they doe not beleeve the
said position to bee true in any parte
thereof.

To the tenth pretensed position hee answereth
that the shippe arlate was and is 11 yeares
old and noe more and was of the burthen
of 70 tonnes or thereabouts and the bare
hull of her when these respondents lost her
was worth 150 li and not lesse as they
beleeve And otherwise they doe not beleeve
the said position to bee true in any parte
thereof.
