  • Replace 'This is the footnote text' with the footnote you wish to add, using the format: first name, surname, title, (place of publication, date of publication), page or folio number
  • Save the page

Transcription

To the 6th pretensed position hee answereth
and beleeveth that at the time of the
ladeing of the hogshead of sugar arlate aboard the
said shippe the Jonathan and Abigall
the same was worth the summe of 7 li
and noe more as he beleeveth And
otherwise hee doeth not beleeve the said
pretensed position to bee true in any parte

To the 7th pretensed position hee answereth
and referreth himselfe to the records
of this Court which hee beleeveth to
bee true And otherwise hee doeth not
beleeve the said pretensed position to bee
true in any parte

To the 8th pretensed position hee answereth
and beleeveth that it hath bin com
plained of this Court on the
behalfe of the said William Andrews
but not iustly as hee beleeveth And
otherwise he doeth not beleeve the
said pretensed position to bee true in any parte

To the last hee answereth and beleeveth
