  • Insert immediately after the sentence or phrase you wish to annotate the following macro:<ref>This is the footnote text</ref>
  • Replace 'This is the footnote text' with the footnote you wish to add, using the format: first name, surname, title, (place of publication, date of publication), page or folio number
  • Save the page

is usuall in the like cases but this rendent
not being att Virginia nor any way is
privy to what was there acted or donne
hee cannot nor doeth conceive hee is
by lawe bound further to answer the
same/

To the 5th and 6th hee answereth and beleeveth
that the said Lewellin Ba,an and Mackerell
did att Virginia arlate by theire factors
or Agents lade into the said shippe the
Comfort severall hogsheads of Tobaccoe
which were therein brought to this port
of London as hee beleeveth. but hee doeth
not beleeve any of the said hogsheads of
Tobaccoe were damnified by any default
of the said shippe as hee beleeveth but what
number of hogsheads [#]

there were hee being noe waies privy thereunto
doeth not knowe nor conceiveth hee is bound
to answer

To the 7th 8th 9th 10th 11th and 12th hee answereth
that hee doeth not beleeve the said perused
positions or either of them to bee true in

former Answers which hee beleeveth to
bee true hee doeth not beleeve the said
pretensed position to bee true in any parte./
