  • Go into edit mode
  • Insert immediately after the sentence or phrase you wish to annotate the following macro:<ref>This is the footnote text</ref>
  • Replace 'This is the footnote text' with the footnote you wish to add, using the format: first name, surname, title, (place of publication, date of publication), page or folio number
  • Save the page

15th May 1637

Robertus Salter parochia Sancti Andrew in Le Wardrobe
London gentleman etats 46 annorum aut circiter testis in hac parte productus
iuratus et examinatus./

Ad 2um arlum allegaconis ex parte dri Polhill in hac parte dat et oblat dicitet deponit That uppon or about he thirteenth day of June Anno domini 1636 arlate
the arlate Nicholas Polhill did write a letter of the tenor of the schedule arlate
and sent the same unto the arlate Samuell Mico by his precontest David Page
The prmisses he knoweth to be true for that
he this deponent lodginge in one and the same house with the said Mr Polhill at the
tyme of the writinge of the sayd letter did advise the sayd Polhill to keepe a
copye therof, and thereuppon the sayd Polhill did take a copie therof beinge the
schedule arlate, and this deponent compared the sayd schedule with the sayd letter
sent to the sayd Micoe and found the same to be agreeable in all respects
and the sayd David Page in testimony of the concordance of the sayd letter
and copye did sett his hand unto the sayd copie or schedule arlate And this he affirmeth uppon his oath to
be true/ Et alr nescit deponere/
