Ad primum arlum deponit et dicit That in the monthes arlate this deponent was in the
East Indies and that (as he taketh it) about the month of September 1632
the arlate Adryan Monntgo[?XX]dy with others came in the shipp arlate to the East Indies
and when he came thether he was purser of the arlate shipp and so continued
till his death which he knoweth for that he knew him before by sight
in England, and was with him in the shipp he dyed in Et alr nescit

Ad 2 nescit

Ad 3 that about the moneth of September Anno domini 1635 the arlate Adryan
Monntgomery died at Bombey arlate Et alr nescit Saveing about 3
monthes before he died this deponent did divers timessee
a booke that had writing in it lye in the deceaseds Cabbin which the deceased
was wont to write in, and he did use to keepe it sealed up, but
ahat was written in that booke this deponent cannot say premissa
[?pXXX] [?XXX] for that his deponent was in the arlate shipp before the arlate deceased
died almost a 12 moneth Et alr nescit.

how many he cannot tell or what they were worth he had also 4 turky
stuffes the worth he cannot tell, some Bengala girdles he had also the

12 shirts and smocks or thereabouts worth about 20. s he had 2 paire
of little smale sheets worth 17. d' or thereabouts, 2 pillowes and a dozen of
napkins the prize he knowes not. he had parte of 20 chests of Rose waters with
Mr Lucas aforesaid but what parte he cannot say, he had a seale Ring a
silver porringer and a spoone the worth he knowes not And he saith that
about 8 daies before he died this deponent did see those things in parte
of them at Basseeme in the house where he lived ashore, and parte of them
in his Cabbin a board Et alr nescit Saveinge he shad 3 quilts which were
brought a shipp board from the said house which quilts were worth [?XXXX] or therabouts and
they were sold. Et alr nescit
