Transcription

To the second Interrogatorie hee saith that hee this Examinate is a
person and was borne in Spawham and saith hee hath knowne
the said parties producent for the space of about theise two yeares And
otherwise referring himselfe to his foregoeing deposition hee saith hee
answereth negatively

To the third Interrogatorie hee saith that the said ship and company are
and doe belonge to some ffrenchmen but to what particular Port
in ffrance hee saith hee knoweth not.

To the 4th Interrogatorie hee answereth negatively to every part thereof

To the 5th Interrogatorie hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition And
otherwise hee cannot depose saveing that as this deponent heard it
generally and credibly reported by the Comander and company of the
ship the Royall her said loading of Rice was taken from some
of the Turkish ships that were bound f[?or] Constantinople therewith
by the said John Francisco C[?a]rdj who afterwards laded
the same abord the Royall and soe consigned it to bee delivered to his
Brother at Ligorne, And oherwise hee cannot depose.

To the 6th hee cannot depose.

To the 7th Interrogatorie hee saith hee hath not soe deposed

To the 8th Interrogatorie hee saith that neither of the parties producent were
abord the said ship the Royall when shee was seized by the Parliaments
ships And otherwise referring himselfe to his foregoeing deposition hee
saith hee cannot depose.

To the 9th Interrogatorie hee saith that [XXXXX XX] he said producents
that hee knoweth of never sawe the interrogated B[?harzia] Salienheitti
since the seizure of the said ship the Royall. And otherwise hee for
his parte saith hee cannot depose.

Marco Crenamo of the Cittie of Naples Merchant
gentleman aged 30 yeares or thereabouts sworne and Examined
deposeth

To the first and second articles of the said Allegation hee saith and
deposeth That hee this deponent well knoweth the producents
John ffrancisco Cardj and Paulo Maria Cardj who within and for
all the tyme arlat were and still are the true and lawfull
owners and proprietors of the Rice and dates claymed by
them in this Court, the said John Francisco Cordj haveing taken
the same from the Turkes as it was goeing to Constantinople
and [XXXX] that hee saith hee laded the same abord the ship the
Royall
