  • Replace 'This is the footnote text' with the footnote you wish to add, using the format: first name, surname, title, (place of publication, date of publication), page or folio number
  • Save the page

To the Crosse Interrogatories:- [CENTRE HEADING]

To the first negatively./

To the second hee saith hee hath knowne the interrate John Smeesters for 7
yeares personally, and Gerard Ryper and Michell Perry for about 7 yeares by
producents Correspondencie with them, And further cannot depose:/

To the third hee saith the said Ryper and Perry are factors to the producent but
not hee to them. And otherwise saving his foregoingd eposition hee cannot depose:/

To the fourth hee saith the interrate John Smeesters is an Antwerper borne, and
hath lived with his family in the broadstreet there ever since this deponent knewe him
the said Ryper an Antwerper but hath lived at Cadiz for severall yeares last and
is married there, and the said Perry as hee beleeveth is a fflandrian borne, and
hath long time lived at Cadiz/:-

To the 14.th hee saith hee well knoweth that the said ffactors had goods and effects
of the said producents in their hands. sent unto them at severall times by severall
fflemmish and Hamborough shipps from Ostend, videlicet fflanders laces, linnen
and stuffs./:-
