The second day of September 1653. [CENTRE HEADING]

The Clayme of Christian Aelst of}
Antwerpe and Jeronimo Brudgmans}
of Spaine for their moneyes in the}
shipp the Saint George et cetera and the Salvador

Examined upon an Allegation on the
behalfe of the sayd Claymers.

'Michael Perry Severino of Saint Lucar
in Spaine merchant aged four and
twenty yeares or thereabouts, a witnes
sworne and examined deposeth and saith
as followeth. videlicet.

To the first second and third and fourth Articles of the sayd Allegation this
deponent saith and deposeth That being att Sevill in the month
of August 1652 in Companie with the arlate Hjeronimo
Brudgmands, He the sayd Hjeronimo Brudgmans then told
this deponent that he had laden aboard the arlate shipp the
Salvador whereof Christian Cloppenbergh was master att Cadiz four barrs of
sylver of new Spaine for the accompt of himselfe and the arlate
Christian Aelst his Correspondent and partner in trade, and did
then and there shew this deponent a bill of lading signed by the
sayd Christian Cloppenbergh for the same. And further saith
that the sayd Hjeronimo Brudgmans afterward videlicet about the
beginning of October 1652 meeting with this deponent att Cadiz
did acquaint this deponent that he had some few dayes before
laden aboard the sayd shipp the Salvador fifteen small baggs
of sylver conteyning two hundred and fifty peices of eight in
every of them; for the Accompt of himselfe and the Christian
Aelst, And allso twelve baggs of peices of eight conteyning
