Examined upon the said allegation.

Thomas Spratling of Shadwell in the County of Middlesex
Mariner, aged 70 yeares or thereabouts sworne and
examined.

To the first article hee saith that hee was Cooke of the said
shipp the dove arlate (whereof Walter Cable was and is master)
in her last voyage from London for Newcastle in August last
and thereby well knoweth that in all her passage from
Gravesend to the time of her comming within the barr at
Newcastle shee did not touch any shipp or vessell whatsoever
neither did the said shipp the dove ever soe much touch the
shipp the Successe arlate in all that voyage, nor did this deponent
ever see the said shipp the Successe in all that passage
