Transcription

May last past of his certayne knowledge, but the owners thereof he
knoweth not as he saith. And further that she tooke in her present
lading being about two hundred and ten Moy of salt att
Bronage in ffrance from whence the sayd shipp directly came
before the seizure, and was bound to haver de Grace there to
deliver the same. And further not knowing any thing touching
the propriety, fraight writings consignments or lader of the sayd
salt he saith he cannot depose.

To the 6 and 7th hee saith the sayd shipp hath three great anchors and
one warp anchor four Cables, a whole suit of sayles and some
of them double, with other furniture.

To the 8. 9. and 10th. he saith he is stiersman of the sayd shipp and
so hath bene ever since May last, and first came on board att
Amsterdam. And further as aforesayd cannot depose.

To the 11. 12. 13. and 14th. he saith he knoweth nothing thereof.

Sivert Johnson of Skermer=hoorne in holland
Mariner Boatswaine of the sayd shipp the Sawyer
aged twenty five yeares, sworne and examined
saith as followeth, videlicet.

To the 1. 2. 3. 4. and 5th. Interrogatories he saith the sayd shipp belongeth
to the Port of Amsterdam, and tooke in her present lading being
salt att Bronage in ffrance from whence she last came, and was
to have carried the same to haver de Grace for the use as he
hath heard of the Grand party. And further not knowing the Owners
of the sayd shipp nor certayne quantity or value of the sayd salt nor
the lader thereof nor to whom consigned nor upon what freight to
be delivered he saith he cannot depose.

To the 6. and 7th. he saith the sayd shipp hath three Cables and one old one
three anchors and a warpe Anchor. a whole sute of sayles and
also a foresayle a main topsayle and a be[?XXX], and other furniture
and provisions.

To the 8. 9 and 10th he saith he is Boatswayne of the sayd shipp and
so hath bene since the beginning of this last summer and first came
on board att Amsterdam. and further saving as aforesayd cannot depose
