Transcription

if she had bin at Bilboe sooner, she might have had (as
Mr Read a Merchant then resident at Bilboe told this
deponent) ready money for her salmon, and a full
freight homewards, And further he cannot depose saving
that the sayd shipp was of the burthen of about fifty
five Tonns.

To the last he saith his former deposition is true.

To the crosse Interrogatoryes [CENTRE HEADING]

To the first Interrogatory he answereth that he is imployed
by the producent Mr Andrewes in house, That he favoureth the
parties litigant alike, and wisheth right may take place, And
otherwise he answereth not.

To the second he answereth that he this Rendent did not carry
with him to sea any copy of the Charter party interrate, And to
the rest of the Interrogatory he answereth negatively.

To the third Interrogatory he answereth that after this Respondents Receipt of a
true copy of the Charter party interrate from London, and this
Rendents shewing it to the interrate Cooke, the sayd Cooke
did with the first fayre wind sett sayle from Dublin for
London derry, And further he cannot answeare.

To the fourth Interrogatory he answereth that (as he hath predeposed)
he this Rendent had noe copy of the sayd Charter party untill
he sent for one to London from Dublin and there received
it, and that that paper or writing which the interrate Cooke
had and did produce for a copy of the sayd charter party was
false, And further he cannot answear.

To the fifth Interrogatory he answereth that he did threaten and tell
the interrate Cooke at Dublin that he would protest against
him for his not following this Rendents order in going from
thence for London derry, but that he did it nott, And
further (referring himselfe to his former deposition) he
cannot answeare.

To the sixth Interrogatory he answereth that after the coming of the
said copy of the Charter party unto him this Rendent and it being
seene by the interrate Cooke the said Cooke and his Company
did in all things follow this Rendents order and direction, as
he was bound to doe, And further he cannot answeare.

To the 7th Interrogatory he answereth negatively.

To the eighth Interrogatory he answereth that the note
mentioned in the sayd Interrogatory is written with this deponents
owne hand and by him subscribed, and that he referreth himselfe to
the same And otherwise negatively.
