the arlate Martin Thison Anckerhelme Admirall of Gottenburgh
President Norrens and all the rest of the Owners of the said shipp and
lading (save what belongeth to the said Master and Mariners) and saith they are
all of them of this deponents certaine knowledge Subjects to the king of Sweden,
and all inhabitants in and of Gottenburgh, And saith
That hee this examinate being Syndicus of the said Citie of Gottenburgh, and
in that quality and function having the Custodie care and Command of
the Protocolls and Acts passed by the Magistracie hereof, and being by them
and the said Owners imployed and authorized as hereafter followeth to
come for England, hee have order and direction to the arlate Nils Car:
Stenson Secretarie of the said Citie to make an Extract out of the Registry
there, and to firme and attest the same with his owne hand, and with the usuall
Seale of the said City, which accordingly was done, and this deponent knoweth the
Contents of the second schedule or Extract annexed for the reasons
herein expressed to be reall and true, And as to the third schedule annexed
hee this examinate saith, That the same was and is a schedule written with this deponents
Owne hand containing the names of the Owners and Laders of the said shipp
Charity all well knowne to this deponent and that the same by this deponents
direction and in his presence was amd os also sealed with the seale of the said Citie, and was and
is reall and true. And further cannot depose./:-

To the latter part of the 4th Article and schedule therein mentioned and now
seen and perused by this deponent hee saith, That hee this deponent being Syndicus of the
said Citie of Gottenburgh, and the Plenipotentiary in this article intended
is come over from Gottenburgh to this Commonwealth, to agitate and
intermediate for the restitution of the said shipp the Charitie and her
lading to the Owners thereof, And to that effect hee hath a Commission
and deputation from the Magistracie aforesaid under the Seale of the
said Citie, which was and is the Instrument or fourth schedule annexed
the Contents whereof were and are reall and true of his certaine knowledge
And further hee cannot depose/

Upon the rest hee is not examined by Order of Court./:-

To the first Interrogatorie negatively to only part thereof./

To the second hee saith hee referreth himself to his foregoeing deposition
And further cannot depose, sa{?y]ing hee was not present when the
parties interrate were sworne before the Magistrates interrate
