To the Crosse Interrogatories [CENTRE HEADING]

To the first interrogatories hee saith hee comes to testify his knowledge in this TO DO: cons GUTTER
The rep rest of the said Webber, and orignally favoureth both sides. And TO DO: answered
negatively.

To the second negatively.

To the third interrogatorieshe saith he was on board the John and Mary when the sayd
ten pipes were brought on board. but have saw not nor heard of any
note brought by the boatswain touching the same.

To the 4th negatively saving of this hear say as aforesayd.

To the 5th he saith that the said papton so came on board the Hohn and Mary
then next day after the lading of the said ten pipes ˹and this Rondent was then on board the said shipp˺ but the day of TO DO: XXX
month he remembreth not, nor knoweth what note or order he ˹the said paxton˺ brought
with him. but saith that he did demand the said ten pipes of wyne and would
have had the said Webber and Companye to have taken them out which
the sayd Webber and his Company sayd they would not doe for some
of the dammage, but sayd that if he the said paxton and Company would
come and take them out they might or to that purpose And the said
paxton seeing that they were stowed refused to meddle with them
and so departed without them. And otherwise he cannot answer.

To the 6th interrogatorie he saith the sayd Barwin who doth Master Trawer his
bafines was seen by and knowne to this Rondent. but whether the note
to the said allon interrogatories annexed now thewne him be the sayd Berin
handwriting or signed by him or were brought on board the John and
Mary by the sayd paxton he cannot depose.

To the 7th interrogatorie he saith he knoweth nothing thereof.

To the 8th interrogatorie he saith he knoweth not nor can answer.

To the 9th interrogatorie he saith he cannot answer more particularly than
in his precedent depositions to which he referreth himselfe is expressed.

To the 10th interrogatorie he saith he hath not so deposed.

To the 11th hee saith he knoweth nothing thereof nor X can further
answer.

boasson.

William Tickell of Birchen Lane London merchant aged
Smith Clements</margin> fourty three yeeres or there abouts, a witnesse sworne and
examined saith and deposeth as followeth videlicet.

To the first Article of the sayd allegation. This deponent saith that he went
as merchant in the shipp Tan Kervale Robert Cooke master the last
voyage she made which was from this port of London to Norway
and there to take in her sos; and ˹was˺ from thence to ˹have gone to˺ the Barbadoes
