Transcription

1. ánnexed and nowe showed unto him, and that the said materials and worke
2. were then worth soe much as the ordinary rates, which hee knoweth being
3. one of the Shipwrights that wrought in the said worke under the said producent
4. and the person that tooke and kept the accompt of the particulars of
5. the materialls and valewes and mens wages, amounting in all to 52li -
6. -19s - 11d or thereabouts. And saith the said producent is a Shipwright
7. by trade. And otherwise cannot depose.
8. To the third hee referreth himselfe to the Registry of this Court.

12. To the first hee saith hee cometh at the instance of the producent to
13. testifie the truth in this cause, wherein hee hath noe share nor expecteth
14. any benefit or losse which way soever this cause goeth.
15. To the second hee saith hee did 23 dayes worke at the said lighter, which
16. at 3s per diem comes to 3li 9s, which is paid him by the producent, who
17. imployed him, and hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition.
18. To the third hee saith hee was privie to the imployment and incorporating
19. all the materialls schedulated in and about and into the said lighter
20. upon the said reparation, this deponent on the behalfe of the producent
21. taking the accompt thereof from time to time, and sawe them all
22. used in and about her, and that they were really worth the summes schedulated
23. for thereupon.
24. To the fourth hee saith hee sawe all the particular men schedulated
25. imployed in the said worke for the respective dayes and times schedulated
26. this deponent working dayly with them, and having the oversighting the
27. work under the producent who set them all at worke.

42. To the first ˹Interrogatorie˺ árticle hee saith and deposeth that hee well knew and
43. was master of the shipp or vessell called the Lilly of Barnstable
44. interrogated, but was not at Genoa in her, howbeit hee saith that in her
45. retourne from Genoa for London, putting into ffoy, and there her master
46. Abraham Payne that came in her from Genoa leaving her, this deponent
47. was put master of her to bring her for London with the lading shee brought
48. the port of her discharge, And otherwise hee cannot depose.
49. To the second hee saith that the lading of the said vessell consisted of
50. oranges and lemmons and argila, all which was commonly ˹are˺ said made
51. reputed to be for the accompt of the producent John Greene (saving fiftie
52. chests of lemmons) and this deponent beleeveth them to be soe belonging,
53. because this deponent was by the one of the shipps owners at ffoy told that the
54. said Greene was his merchant and that the goods were soe belonging to him and
