To the said Allegation hee saith and deposeth that hee hath well knowne the
arlate Richard Babson late Master of the Lighter called the Anne
since July 1658 from which time untill about July last past saving about eight monethes [?XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX] Office was under [?XXXXXXXXXXX] hee the said
Babson did worke with the said Lighter in the service of the Officers of the
Ballast Office by whome hee was Imployed to take up and provide ballast
for the said Office dureing all which time this Deponent was Treasurer for the
said Officers and did from time to time and most commonly
every weeke pay the said Babson money for such his service done for the
said Officers with the said Lighter as the Owner thereof, and for such
this Deponent did then take him to be And hee did then and doth now verily
beleeve that hee was the sole owner of her for some
if not all the time aforementioned and for and as such hee saith
the said Babson was commonly accounted reputed and taken And
further cannot depose/
