street London Mercator, annos agens 43 aut eo circiter
testis product et Jurat.

Ad 3um arlum dicti allegationis deponit that hee was a fourth part
owner of a ship called then the Cumberland of London whereof
Peter Knight was Master And saith that the said Knight went with the
said shipp upon this deponents and the rest of his then owners account upon a trading
voyage from this port of London to Rochel from thence to Dublin
in Ireland from thence back to Rochel and Bourdeaux. And when she
came to Bourdeaux he saith the arlate Peter Knight sold to
the aclate Samuell Beake bought the said shipp then lying in the port of Bourdeaux
for the summe of foure thousand livers
which he knoweth by being part owner, namely of a fourth part
and by his factor Gabriell Reaw merchant in Bourdeaux
having received the said summe of 1000 livers for his share
or fourth part. And this deponent and the rest of the owners approved
of such sale made by the said Master And for the reasons aforesd this deponent
beleeveth the said Mr Beake to bee only proprietor of and that
the propriety to rese only in him. And for such hee was and is commonly
accounted.

Ad primum nescit se ad predepoita. Als nescit saving as hee and [?XXXX]
the foresayd Knight received the said money for the said shipp and hath not seene that
ship since she was sould.

Super Interrogatoria ex parte Gold et Savior

fferdinando Bartlett parochia de [?Maker] in Comitatus Cornwall
Nauta, annos agens 34 aut eo circiter testis product
et Jurat dicit et deponit videlicet

Ad primum rendet et deponit that hee was one of the Company namely Masters
Mate of the shipp the Welfare InterrateSamuel Ratell Master the voyage in
question which voyage she began on or about the twentieth of
December last past from Plymouth to Leghorne, from thence to
Gallipoli, to lade oyles thence to London, whenre the foresayd
shipp arrived and came to an anchor about five weekes since at
Shadwell dock or staire where she delivered her [?lading]
of oyles. Et alr nescit.

Ad 2. rendit that the lading outwards bound from Plymouth consisted of
Pilchers of betweene five or six hundred hogsheads or thereabouts [?XXX XXXX]
of the [?prodXXX] of Mr. Gold and Company as hee supposeth and were carried in the said shipp and [?delivered]
at Leghorne for the same [?XXX] as hee beleeveth. Et alr nescit.
