Adding footnotes

  • Go into edit mode
  • Insert immediately after the sentence or phrase you wish to annotate the following macro:<ref>This is the footnote text</ref>
  • Replace 'This is the footnote text' with the footnote you wish to add, using the format: first name, surname, title, (place of publication, date of publication), page or folio number
  • Save the page

Ad primum 2um 3um quartum et quintum Arlos due Allegaconis depnit
That hee this deponentw as Steward of the ffrigott called the Royall when
shee tooke the arlate ship ffortune of Dantzicke, John Duplessis maser
which [?was in the evening of Thursdey] and saith that the next morning after seizure this deponent asking the said
John Duplessis whence hee came and whether hee was bound and
what Countryman hee was hee answered in English (which hee can
speake pretty well) that hee came from ffrance was bound for Holland
and that hee was a ffrenchman, and further sayd that his ship was
of Dantzick and this deponent twlling him that then his ship and goods were
good prize, hee confessed them both to be good prize and sayd that hee
could not helpe it and desired this deponent to seake to the Captaine Bernd to
convey him into the Downes
and this deponent advising him to speake to the Captaine himselfe
hee did soe in the presence of this deponent to Captaine Blackwall and
Captaine Bernds man...
