Transcription 25. November 1651 Mid[?laton] con Batt. 25. November 1651 Mid[?laton] con Batt. Upon the first allegation given in this Cause '''Rp.''' '''2.''' '''henry Turner''' of London Merchant aged 36 yeares<br /> or thereabouts a wittnes sworne and Examined deposeth as<br /> followeth videlicet./ To the [?2]4th article of the said Allegation hee saith and deposeth<br /> that hee hath well knowne the handwriting of his contest Peter<br /> Stoner for the space of these ten yeares last past And hath of late perused<br /> his the said Stoners books of Accomp[?s] and Journalls, And therein doth<br /> find that in the yeare 1645 there was laden aboard Thomas Middletons<br /> shipp (as hee was Master thereof) for the Accompt of the arlate Mr Thomas<br /> Batt one hundred and fifty Eight [?modinas] of salt<br /> nine hundred twenty three oxe hydes<br /> and 12[?000] Ryalls double plate And this hee deposeth for that hee hath bin very<br /> conversant with the said Peter Stoner , and well knoweth his handwriteinge<br /> and hath perused the bookes as aforesaid, And further hee saith hee cannot depose To the rest hee is not Examined by the direction of the producent./- To the Interrogatories [CENTRE HEADING] To the first. 2. 3. 4. 5. and 6th Interrogatories hee saith hee cannot ans[?weare GUTTER]<br /> or depose.
