Evidence from High Court of Admiralty

Twenty-nine year old Thomas Root deposed in the High Court of Admiralty on May 15th 1658. He gave his occupation as porter.[1] His precontest, another porter named Bartholomew Cuff, sixty years of age, had similarly given Allhallows the Great as his parish of residence.
