Biographical synthesis

William Hayward (b. ca. 1630; d. ?). Shipwright.

Resident in 1654 in Ratcliff in the parish of Stepney.

Evidence from High Court of Admiralty

Twenty-four year old William Hayward deposed on February 4th 1654 in the High Court of Admiralty. He was deposed on a libel "On the behalfe of Elizabeth Pett the relict and executrix of Peter Pett deceased against the shipp William and George whereof John Allen was master and against John Allen and company".[1]
