Evidence from High Court of Admiralty

Fifty-six year old William Wilkinson deposed on February 3rd 1657 in the High Court of Admiralty. He was examined on an allegation on behalf of William Watts on the case of "Ewers against Watts"[1]

William Wilkinson stated that he was hired by Phillip Ewers to pilot the ship the William of London to the Downs at the start of her voyage to Virginia. Th eevents took place in December 1654.[2]
