In the name of God Amen
The Twentieth day of May in the yeare of our Lord One thousand
Six hundred ffiftie and Eight. I Robert Mollen the Elder Cittizen
and Pewterer of London being att this present weake in Bodie but yet
of sound and perfect minde and memory praised be Almightie God
for the same and Considering with my selfe the mutability of his life
and the Certainty of death Although the tyme and hower thereof be
altogethr uncertaine and to the end and intent to be the better prepared
and setled in minde when soever it shall please the Lord to take mee out
of this transitorie life. I doe therefore by Gods permission make and declare
this my present Testament wherein is Contained my last Will in man=
=ner and forme following (that is to say) ffirst and principally I Commend
my soule into the hands of Almightie God my maker hopeing and assu=
redly trusting by and through his mercies and the pretious death passion
and resurection of Jesus Christ his sonne my onlie Saviour and Redeemer
whome free pardon of all my sinns and everlasting salvation in the
Kingdome of Heaven And my Bodie I commit to the Earth from whense
it Came to be decently buried att the discretion of my Executor hereafter
named And as touching all such Wordly Estate as it hath pleased
the Lord to blesse mee withall or which shall belong or appertaine unto
mee att the time of my decease I doe bequeath and dispose of the same
as followeth ffirst my minde and will is that all such debts as I shall
iustly and truely owe or be indebted unto my person or persons att the
tyme of my decease shall be well and trulie [XXXX] or order taken for
the payment thereof within Convenient time next after my death.

Item my minde and will is that my loving Wife Elizabeth Mollen shall
or may have hold and injoy the yearely rents and proffitts of all my
Mesuages and Tenements which I hold by anie Lease or Leases what=
[=]soever for and during soe much of the severall termes of yeares Com=pri=
[=]zes in the [XXXX] Leasesas she the same Elizabeth shall live to and for
her owne use and att her owne disposall She from time to time paying
the severall yearely rents and performing the reparations Covenants
Conditions and agreements in and by the said Leases severally and
respectively reserved mentioned and Contained which during her
life on the part of the Leasees of the premisses shall growe due to be paid
done and performed according to the respective Tenors of the said Leases

Item my minde and will is That my said Wife shall or may during
her life, have the use and occupation of all my plate Bedding and hous=
holdstuffe whatsoever And from and after the decease of my said
Wife Then I will and appoynte that all those my Messuages or Tenements
with

with the Appurtenances scituate in Hounsditch in the parish of Saint
Buttolph without Algate London which I hold by Lease of and from the
Mayor and Commonalitie and Cittizens of the Citty of London for a long
Tearme of yeeres yet to Come and unexpired att and under the yearelie
Rent of Three pounds shall goe and be sheired and devided as followeth that
is to say) ffirst I doe will and give unto my sonne Robert Mollen All that
Messuage or Tenement with the Appurtenances Commonly Called
or knowne by the signe of the Cock scituate in Hounsditch aforesaid now in
the occupation of one [BLANK IN MANUSCRIPT] Dymmock a Brewer or his assignes And
alsoe all that Messuage or Tennement with the Appurtenances commonly
Called or knowne by the signe of the Beareshead scituate in Hounsditch afore
=said in the parish oforesaid now in the occupation of Thomas Beake Upholster
or his Assignes Which said Two Messuages or Tenements with the Appur=
=tenances are now lett att severall yearely rents amounting together
to Thirtie and five pounds of lawfull English monie per Annum or
thereabouts To have and to hold the same Two Messuages or Tenements and
with
there appurtenances unto my said sonn Robert Mollen his Executors
Administrators and assignes from and immediately after the decease
of my said Wife for and during all the residue which shall be then to Come
and unexpired of the Terme of yeares Compprized in the said Lease by
which I hold the same with other things as aforesaid he the said Robert
my sonne his Executors Administrators and assignes after my said Wives
decease from time to time during the same Lease paying his and theire
proportionable and share of the said yearely renty of three pounds pay=
[=]able for and upon the said Lease and doeing and performing the repa=
[=]rations and other Covenants Conditions and agreements of and Con=
[=]cenrning the said Two Messuages or Tenements with the Appurte=
=nances, which by or according to the tenor and true meaning of the
said Lease on the Tennants or Leasees part ought to be done and per=
formed for the indemnitie and saving harmlesse of the rest of the
Tenements Comprised in the said Leases of and from the same

doe will and give unto my Three Grandchildren daughters of my late
Sonne John Mollen deceased and to the Survivours and Survivour
of them All those Three Messuages or Tenements standing next together
in Hounsditch aforesaid in the parish aforesaid with theire and every of
theire Appurtenances in the severall occupations of [BLANK IN MANUSCRIPT] Gutteridge
a Pewterer [BLANK IN MANUSCRIPT] Allen a Pewterer and [BLANK IN MANUSRIPT] Bittmaker
or of theire severall Assignes now lett att severall yearely Rents amoun=
=tinmg in the whole to Twentie and one pounds of lawfull English monie
per Annum or thereabouts To have and to hold the three last men=
=tioned Messuages or Tenements with the Appurtenances unto my
said Three Grandchildren theire Executors Administrators and
assignes from and immediatelie after the decease of my said Wife for
and during the residue which shall be then to Come and unexpired
of the terme of yeares Comprised in the said Lease by which I hold
the same with other things of and from the Mayor and Commons
of the Cittie of London as aforesaid They my said Grandchildren
theire Executors Administrators and assignes from and after my said
Wives decease from time to tyme during the same Lease paying theire

before the Judges for probate of Wills and grannting Administrations
lawfully authorized by the oathes of Elizabeth Mollen the Relict
and Robert Mollen the sonn and ioynt Executors named in theabove
written Will To whome Administration of all and singular the goods
Chattells and debts of the said deceased was grannted and Committed
They being first legally sworne truly and faythfully to administer
the same
