In the name of God Amen
the [XX]eenth day of december in the yeare of our Lord God One thousand six hundred
ffiftie Eight of Thomas Taylor of Wapping in the County of Middlesex
Shippwright sicke and weake in body doe make my last Will and Testament
Commending m Soule unto Almightie God my Creatour assuredly trusting
and beleeving to be saved only by the pretious death and passion of my Saviour
and Redeemer Jesus Christ and my body to the Easrth to be buried att the
discretion of my loving Wife And for that Worldly Estate wherewith Almighty
God in greate mercy hath blessed mee I give order and dispose thereof as
followeth

ffirst if my sonne Jonathan Taylor shall live and Come home
from the East Indies where[XX] he is gon on a voyage and shall come to
and live in his owne house and continue in health and be of sound minde for
a yeare then after I charge my said sonne Jonathan as he shall expect a
blessing from the Lord That he [?surrender] all those Copiehol[?d]s Lands and
Tenements with Theappurtenances which I have in the Countie of
Essex according to the Custome of that Mannor whereof the same Lands
are holden in the use of my sonne Caleb Taylor and his heires for ever which said Copiehold lands and tenements I give and devise to my said sonne Caleb and his heires And if my
said sonn Jonathon Coming home and living shall accordingly surrender
the same Copihold Lands and Tenements Then and not otherwise I give
and bequeath unto my said sonne Jonathan Taylor and to his heires
and Assigned for ever All those my ffee farme Rents arising or monie
wise Comeing out of or from the Mannor of Wighton in the Cunty of
Norfolke or otherwheresoever in this Countie And in Case of such his
surrendring Then and not other wise I alsoe give and devise unto my said
sonne Jonathan Taylor unto his heires for ever All those my Lands Tene
ments and hereditaments in or about [?K]emworth in the s[XXX] County of
Middlesex, And if my said sonne Jonathan shall come home and doe and
surrender the same Coppie hold Lands accordingly Then and not otherwise
I give and bequeath unto my said sonne Jonathan Taylor the simme of

This will was proved att London the
Tenth day of the moneth of Januarie In the yeare of our Lord God
according to the Accompt and Computation of the Church of England
One thousand six hundred ffiftie and Eight before the Judges for probate
of Wills and granting Administrations lawfully authorized by the oath
of Sarah Taylor the Relict and sole Executrix named in the
above written last Will and Testament of the deceased To whome
Administration of all and singular the goods Chattells and debts of
the said deceased was graunted and Committed she being first legallie
sworne trulie and faythfully to administer the same
