- Insert immediately after the sentence or phrase you wish to annotate the following macro:<ref>This is the footnote text</ref>
- Replace 'This is the footnote text' with the footnote you wish to add, using the format: first name, surname, title, (place of publication, date of publication), page or folio number
- Save the page

To the Crosse Interrogatories
To the .1. he saith he is one of the shipps Company hath so bene for neare
about 3 yeares, came aboard first att Hamburgh and was in her att the
tyme of seizure interrate.
To the 2. he saith he hath knowne the sayd shipp about 4 years and
hath heard she was built neere Lubeck by the aforesayd Owners, who
so long as this deponent hath knowne the sayd shipp habe imployed
her as their owne. and otherwise cannot depose
