C17th inventories

Editorial history

15/08/11; CSG: Created page

Overview

This page provides a directory to a range of inventories from London and surrounds from the mid and later C17th. They have been selected for commercial orientation, and in a number of cases are related to the commercial and domestic life of the Oxenden family of Kent, London, and Surat. It also provides links to transcriptions of a number of these inventories.

The inventories have been linked, where possible, to records of wills, to hearth tax assessments, and to Sir George Oxenden's correspondence
