  • Replace 'This is the footnote text' with the footnote you wish to add, using the format: first name, surname, title, (place of publication, date of publication), page or folio number
  • Save the page

Transcription

To the 10th hee saith hee had his seabriefe of Rotterdam, bills of lading
and letters for the said goods and a passeport for the same, and some other papers
and [?reconnings] of his owne aboard the said shipp when shee was taken,
which letters and passeport hee gave to the said Captaine Ledg[?ent], and
in the said letters the bills of lading; and for other writings hee saith hee had none,

To the 11th hee saith that hee this examinate being upon the meeting
with Captaine Ledgent, fetcht in a boate aboard him, and by him the said
Captaine demanded what goods hee had aboard, hee this deponent told
him all [XXXXX] both what hee had as afore for his shipps provision
of powder match bullet and shott and [XXXXX] the said merchants 100 barrells and other goods,
and therewith all delivered the said letters into his hands, and never made
any deniall of the said 100 barrells or any other of his lading.
