and saith that hee lnoweth not nor doth beleeve that any of teh said silver or goods
belonge to any hollander or ffrench man, or suboect either of the States of the
United Netherlands or of the kinge of ffrance. Ad otherwise saving as aforesaid
hee cannot depose.

To the 23th hee saith that when hee was soe at Cales as aforesaid there were
the shipps the Sampson of Lubeck (Otto George Commannder) and the
Salvador of hamburgh (Christian Cloppenburgh master) then there alsoe
and that they alsoe there received silver aboard, but to whom it belongeth
or for whose accompt laden hee knoweth not. And otherwise hee
cannot depose.

To the 24th hee saith hee came with the said shipp and goods from Cales on
the third of October last.
To the Interrogatories in the second place. [CENTRE HEADING]

To the first hee saith hee shall be only soe farr profited by the release of
the said silver and goods as that hee shall receive his freight and have his
owne few particular goods aforesaid, and that otherwise hee hath noe interest in the
said silver goods.

To the second hee saith that hee and his Purser received the said silver aboard
and the goods, namely when this deponent was aboard hee received the same
and in his absence his Purser received them and somtimes his Stiersman
and that his said Purser tooke accompt and made entrie of all, and
otherwise referring him selfe to the markes and numbers aforesaid appearing
on the baggs, peeces and parcells aforesaid and in the bills of lading hee
cannot depose, saving his foregoing deposition.
