  • Replace 'This is the footnote text' with the footnote you wish to add, using the format: first name, surname, title, (place of publication, date of publication), page or folio number
  • Save the page

sixe tymes since at Jarra Key neere Newcastle and other places in the River of
Newcastle and at Tinmouth bay, and knoweth the Interrogated Cable only by sight and [?that GUTTER]
since the damage aforesayd was done, and knew neither him nor the sayd shipp [?XXXX GUTTER]
before the sayd damage done And further cannot answere./

To the 3 hee saith hee knoweth not how many myles over the place called the well is but
saith it is the common passe for all or most shipps bound to Newcastle
and saith the night when the damage was done was not soe darke but that the [?Master GUTTER]
and Company of the Successe did easily perceive the shipp dove at a pretty distance
off and called to her company to beare off and did their best endeavour to [?avoyd GUTTER]
coming neere the dove, but the dove kept on her course and noe way regarded
