To the 4th hee saith hee doeth not know of any goods wares or
Merchandizes brought in the said shipp to haver de Grace,
And further cannot depose:-/

To the 5th hee saith, That hee this rendent is no house keeper of himselfe
neither is hee in the quality of a servant to anyone, but is a
Merchant who acteth and tradeth for himselfe, and for the time of
12. yeares interrate, hee hath lived at London and Greenwich with his this rendents
mother, one yeare or thereabouts in holland, and about 4. yeares at
severall times in ffrance in the quality of a Merchant and Traveller or
Sjourner and for his owne particular hath never payd any taxes or
