Transcription

the water side, about two a clock in the morning of the 22th of January last
being Saturday, after they had bin all that night together there where they supped
together, And otherwise hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition.

To the thid hee saith that they met together at another house in Woolwich about six of the
clock on the friday night of the 21th of January and about 9 of the clock came to the [?XXXX] and there dtopprf snf then continued
and were merry together all night, and about four of the clock the next morning pasterd
And upon their said departure, the said Trumpeter seeing them prepare to come for
London, said in dutch to this effect, mowe I see that I am betraide and sold.

To the fourth hee saith hee this deponent in a fortnight or three weekes space
wherein this deponent was a waiter aboard a prize shipp at Woolwich, severall
times sawe the said Trumpeter, but never spake with or was in his company
saving the time predeposed.

To the fifth hee saith the said words and confession were spoken in the dutch language, and
gained from the said Trumpeter by the Interrogatrion and questioning of the said
Abraham Johnson, and otherwise hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition.

To the 6th hee saith the said Trumpeter is a lustiem black, and middlestatured man,
of about 34 yeares of age in this deponents iudgement, and this deponent
was present by contrivance of and with the said Johnson, Pembridge and Simonds
who with this deponent contrived that meeting with the said Trumpeter.

To the 7th hee saith the said confessions were made and spoken in answer to the
questioning of the said Abraham Johnson as aforesaid.

To the 8th hee saith that hee was borne at Callombe neare [?Abingdon] in
Oxfordshire, and can speake high and lowe dutch, and that English is his
mother tongue, and that hee hath bin master of them or able to speake them
for theise 26 yeares last namely high and lowe dutch, having lived longe in those
countries.

To the 9th negatively.

To the 10th hee saith hee was not any of the company of the shipps that tooke
the Salvador.
