12. aged 26 yeeres or thereabouts sworne and exámined.
13. To the first árticle hee saith and deposeth that hee well knoweth
14. and was masters mate of the shipp the George Bonadventure arlate
15. the voyage in question, and thereby alsoe knoweth that the producents
16. John Craumpe (her commander) Major Chamberlaine and company were
17. and are her owners, and for such commonly accounted.
18. To the second article and schedule annexed hee answereth onile XX to the
19. said schedule, and otherwise cannot answer ˹depose˺ saving what followeth.
20. To the third 4 and 5th articles hee saith and deposeth that after the said
21. XXXX shipp had taken in most part of her outwards lading, namely
22. on New yeers day 1656 this deponent was shipped in this port to Xee
23. her masters mate the said voyage, and after such his shipping XXX namely
24. on the seventeenth of the same moneth there went one hundred and tenn
25. barrells of herrings (or thereabouts) laden aboard her, which were said to be sent by and
26. to be for the account of the said arlate Mr George ffaringtons, and saith
27. that the said shipp having soe received her outwards lading, departed
28. therewith, (saving a parcell of butter and cheese which had bin laden
29. aboard and was seized by the officers of the Customes and taken out of
30. her the eighteenth of January aforesaid), and arived at Zant and there
31. the said Captaine Cranrye and company delivered her said outwards lading
32. (that was carried in the said shipp) to John dobson and Richard ffarington
33. factors of the said George ffarington, and saith that after such discharge
34. and deliverie of the said goods, the said shipp by the said further order
35. went and sailed from Zant to the Morea, and at the Morea tooke
36. in a parcell of cheese and brought the same to Zant and there delivered
37. the same unto the said factors, and afterwards went and tooke in another
38. parcell of cheese at the Morea and brought that alsoe to Zant and
39. delivered it unto them, and all by their order, all which hee knoweth
40. being masters mate of the said shipp and goeing from place to place in her
41. and keeping a journall of the voyage, which hee hath now with him. And
42. otherwise cannot depose.
43. To the sixth árticle hee saith and deposeth that after the said shipp the
44. George Bonadventure had delivered out her said last lading brought from
45. the Morea, the said factors detained her at Zant without imployment
46. five monethes or thereabouts, and then sent her to the port of Argastorl
47. in Cephalonia X and sent one Thomas dobson Cape merchant or
48. factor in her, and ordered the said Captain Craneye to followe the orders
49. and directions of the said Thomas dobson, as this deponent heard both
50. the said Captaine and Thomas dobson say, And otherwise cannot
51. depose, not knowing of the writing or giving the schedule arlate
52. To the 7th, 8th and 9th articles hee saith and deposeth that the said
