1. him this deponent he saith the sayd Salter and this deponent (being the
2. Interrogate Thomas Childe) were of the Company of the Cesar at Petras
3. and that the sayd Estes was then of the Company of the Elizabeth and Anne, but on board
4. the Cesar at Petras. And he saith Interreg the sayd schedule is a protest
5. made by the Interrogate ffudge Harbie against the Interrogate ffudge at
6. Petras for not signeing bills of ladeing for certayne curranse aboard the
7. Cesar˹to deliver XXX them aboard the Elizabeth and Anne˺ and saith the sayd protest was soe made and done as therein as conteyned
8. in the presense of the sayd Estes Salter and this deponent says are all as hee
9. beleeveth commonly accompts honest men And further to this Interrogatorie
10. hee cannot answer./
11. To the 39th Interrogatorie hee saith hee beleeveth the letter or Schedule
12. Interrogate to bee the proper hand writing of the Interrogate Clement
13. harbie. And further hee cannot answere/
14. To the 40th Interrogatorie hee cannot answere, not knowing what
15. to beleeve/.
16. To the 41 the Interrogatorie hee saith that by the order of the order
17. Interrogate William ffudge hee this deponent did write a letter
18. to the Interrogate Master Burdet, and the sayd same was signed by the sayd
19. ffudge but the contents of the sayd letter hee remembreth not, ˹not˺ having
20. noe coppie thereof And further to this Interrogatorie hee cannot answer./
21. To the 42 Interrogatorie hee saith hee knoweth not the contents of any
22. bills of ladeing signed for the goods of the Interrogate Rowse and ffudge
23. not having seene them, nor hath hee seene the Boatswains booke
24. of the Cesars booke, and therefore knoweth not whether they be entered
25. therein as laden by the Interrogate Harbies order, and further to this
26. Interrogatorie hee cannot answere./
