Transcription

1. (by his booke and compasse) finding where he was, he
2. then commanded the Mariners to tacke about for London
3. and they (that is, the maior part of them) utterly refusing
4. he afterwards shott off many peices of Ordnance, and
5. that therupon one Spencer came aboard the sayd shipp
6. who did pilott her (but by the sayd Crofords unwilling
7. order and hXXX) to Pennarth) And further he cannot
8. answere./

9. To the nineth interrogatory he answereth that some of the shipps company
10. made a boate as is interrate, but there was never any use made
11. therof, and he saith that he doth not know of any man
12. of the sayd shipps Company, who was not diligent and laborious
13. in and about the preservation of her And further he cannot
14. answere./

15. To the 10th interrogatory he cannot answere.

16. To the 11th he answereth that one Scidmore did by the order
17. and hire of the interrate Croford pilott the said shipp
18. into kings=roade, where this Rendent left the sayd shipp
19. And further he cannot answere./

20. To the 12th. 13. 14. 15. 16 and 17th Interrogatories he refereth himselfe
21. to his former depositi And further he cannot answere

22. To the 18th he answereth that there were aboard the sayd shipp
23. (mariners and passengers) when she went into Abderdee about
24. fifty persons, and that (as he remembreth) there were 3 or 4
25. dayes between the shipp's passage from Aberdee to kings
26. =roade, where this Rendent left her; And further he
27. knoweth not to answere./

28. To the nineteenth he answereth negatively./

29. To the 20. 21. 22 and 33 (sic) interrogatories he answers negatively
30. or that they doe not concerne him the Rendent.
