1. William Spencer came. (at night) aboard the sayd
2. shipp, and that on the next day the arlate Croford
3. did agree with the sayd Spencer to conduct and carry
4. the sayd shipp to Penarth, which was done accordingly
5. And further he cannot depose.
6. To the ninth he deposeth that when the sayd shipp was
7. arrived at Penarth the arlate Croford went ashoare
8. and did afterwards send for the arlate Cobb, Upson
9. Woodfall and Nicholls to come ashore unto him, and that
10. they did goe unto him, But further he cannot depose./
11. To the tenth article he deposeth that the arlate shipp the
12. Gilbert did lye at Penarth from about the 20th day
13. of January 1656 to the 24th day following, and that
14. on the sayd 24th day the sayd Captaine Croford came
15. aboard the sayd shipp together with Nicholas Skidmore
16. whom he the said Croford brought along with him, and
17. that the sayd Skidmore did by the sayd Croford order
18. pilott the sayd shipp from Penarth to King Roade
19. arlate And further he cannot depose, saving that the
20. sayd shipp did leave an anchor behind her when she
21. came away from Penarth./
22. To the 11th and twelth he cannot depose, saying that he
23. left the shipp when she was arrived in King=roade.
24. To the thirteenth article he deposeth that he hath not the
25. least knowledge of any mutiny that the sayd shipps
26. Mariners were guilty of in her passage from the
27. Barbadoes unto Kings Roade predeposed of, And further
28. he cannot depose./

38. To the second he answereth that he onely knoweth the
39. parties Agents by their names, and that he wisheth that that
40. party should prevayle, which have most right, and that he
41. would soe dispose the same it it were in his power/
