1. or bill, and that hee had noe goods but what hee signed a bill for. And
2. otherwise hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition.

3. To the 5th hee saith hee hath bin for the most part in or about
4. Colchester since the said disaster and his company some at one
5. place and some at another, and ˹saith hee doth not remember the day˺ that this deponent came to Colchester
6. which Colchester hee conceiveth to be about tenn leagaues from the [said GUTTER]
7. place where the said shipp soe [XXXXXX]ed

8. To the 6th negatively.

9. To the 7th hee saith hee went in ballast from Middleborow
10. to Nantes to seake a freight, and finding none, hee laded
11. the said shipp with salt for his said owners account, and carried
12. and discharged the same at Bayon, whense hee brought the
13. foresaid goods. And oterwise negatively.

14. To the 8th hee saith that some of the factors or agents
15. that laded the said goods at Bayon were some of them hollanders
16. and some ffrench and they that laded the wooll and feathers were
17. most of them Jewes, and but hee remembreth not any of their
18. names, at present, saving Noe van Baruevelt, John du Brock,
19. Andries van Galisse, and hardose And this deponent is a
20. native and Inhabitant of Middleborowe. And otherwise referreth
21. him selfe to his foregoing deposition.

Frederick Ixem of London Notary Publique, sworne
before the right Worshipfull Charles George Cock Esquire
one of the Judges of the high Court of the Admiraltie
of England saith and deposeth by vertue of his oath.

33. That hee this deponent was present and did sea (sic) the
34. Cornelius Vander hoXX signe seale and for his act and deed
35. deliver the bill of sale now showne unto him beginning this
36. To all people to whom etcertera, Dated in London the twentieth
37. day of November in the yeare of our lord God one thousand six
38. hundred fiftie and seaven, and subscribed Cornelis vander HoXX
39. which was soe donne in the writing office of this deponent neere
40. the Royal Exchange london; and that the same being soe donne this
41. deponent together with his servant Edward Parker as witnesses set their
42. names on the back thereof as now appeareth. And saith
43. further that the said Corneluis Vander Hoowe then and there
44. acknowledged himselfe fully satisfied the summe mentioned
45. in the said bill for the vessell the Hulke, therein alsoe
46. specified.
