1. tyme that there was noe passage for a lighter betweene them and shoare
2. to the great annoyance and the disturbance of the neighbourhood and hinderance
3. of the Watermen plying at Saint Katherines stayres from goeing about their necessary
4. affayres, and some watermen plyeing at Saint Katherines stayres have ˹made˺
5. complainte to the Marshall of the Admiralty Court that their boates
6. have bin sunke by reason of soe many vessells there lyeing abrest at one and the
7. same tyme and lyeing soe neere the shoare and this deponent being an officer under
8. the sayd Marshall hath thereupon come to the Mariners of the sayd vessells and
9. forewarned them of lyeing there soe many a brest and told them that
10. hee would take away their sayles if they would not remove whereupon they have
11. for the present removed, but they .. or other vessells have soone after layne in
12. the like manner in the same place, but whether they soe lay there by the reason of the
13. sayd Ellis, or what profitt hee made of such their lyeing there hee knoweth not And
14. further hee cannot depose./
