1. finding the Pra'mium very high, did not doe it, and wrote back unto him
2. that hee did not doe it for that reason, And afterwards the said henry by lettere
3. dated at the Barbadas 21 december 1656 directed to this deponent to London
4. and by this deponent afterwards received, further advised this deponent
5. in the touching the said shipp in theise words, Some fourteene dayes
6. since a shipp from Guiney that brought foure masters of shipps
7. which had their shipps taken at Cape Lopez by two dutch men of warr
8. the one 36 .. guns, the other 18 belonging to Amsterdam, one of
9. the foure was the shipp I desired you to ensure for mee, which if
10. not donne, then have I lost twenty foure thousand pounds of sugar
11. principall, thereof might have bin saved if you had soe pleased. Shee
12. had aboard 192 Negroes, my eighth part of shipp and cargo would
13. have produced mee sixtie thousand pounds of sugar, which is a
14. greate losse to mee, ............................. The masters of the three
15. of the shipps goes with on Captaine Maniard, who could give you
16. a full relation of the busines ...... And further saith that in and
17. by one of the said shipps that soe came from the Barbadas named
18. the Recovery and arrived here on friday last, hee this deponent received
19. two papers ........ of depositions and an account, subscribed and attested
20. by the hand of the honourable Daniell Searle .......... Governuour (sic) of the Barbada's

28. were and are English men and subiects of this Commonwealth, and
