22. To the first article of the sayd allegation hee saith that in the yeares and
23. Monethes arlate ....... Mr Elias Mandevile Mr John hallett Mr West Mr
24. Spur{stow} of London Merchants were commonly accompted togeather with others
25. of their Company to bee the true and lawfull Owners and Proprietors of the
26. arlate Shipp Welcombe and of her tackle apparrell and furniture but
27. whether the arlate henry Martyn were ˹then˺ one of her Owners of soe accompted
28. hee knoweth not And saith hee well knoweth that the sayd henry Martyn in
29. the yeares and moneths aforesayd was Master and Commander of the sayd shipp

33. To the second third and fowerth article of the sayd allegation hee saith
34. that hee going Masters Mate of the sayd Shipp the Welcombe the voyage in
35. question thereby knoweth that there were the sayd voyage laden on board the sayd
36. shipp at London for Accompte of the arlate henry Loades and to bee transported
37. in her for his Accompte to Lisbone in Portugall and there delivered to the sayd
38. Loades or his Agents for his Accompte the thirty bales ... or bundles of lemon
39. chests arlate this hee the better knoweth for that hee helped to receave the
40. sayd thirty bales or bundles of lemmon chests on boards the sayd shipp and
41. alsoe helped to stowe and gave order and directions as Mate for the stowing of
42. the same chests in the sayd shipp And saith that the sayd Loades (after the same
43. were stowed aboard the sayd shipp) did as Owner of them send a demand require
44. the sayd thirty bales or bundles of Lemmon chests (as the sayd henry Martin
45. by a note under his hand sent to this deponent or his mate did certifie this deponent) to
46. bee delivered back at London from on board the sayd shipp) and this deponent having
