4. Skipper aged about 18 yeares, being sworne
5. upon the holy Evangelists on the first day of
6. August 1657 Before the right worshippfull John
7. Godolphin Doctor of Lawes One of the Judges
8. of the high Court of Admiralty of England
9. In the presence of Millicent Colequite Notary
10. publiq did by vertue of such oath depose as followeth
11. videlicet./
12. That he this deponent did and doth well knowe the shipp
13. the Saint John of Larwick, his this deponents brother Okey
14. Larson being Skipper of the sayd shipp the Peter, and
15. hee this deponents brother Abraham Jacobson Larson having
16. bin for many years Skipper of the sayd shipp the Saint John
17. and that both the sayd shipps are of the burthen of (about)
18. 250 Tonns, And that by reason of his this deponents being
19. in the River Thames and present with his said brothers
20. he very well knoweth that his said brother Okey Larson
21. did by and according unto power, authority and order to
22. him in that behalfe given by and from Pet Ambioen Larson
23. and hands halvvorsen the Owners and Proprietors of the
24. said shipp the Peter make sale of her unto Peter Rich
25. Edward Askew and Robert killner of London for and in
26. consideration of the summe of five hundred and fifty pounds
27. lawfull English money to him the sayd Okey payd and
28. satisfied by them, and that in consideration of the said sale
29. the sayd Okey hath delivered possession of her unto them
30. the sayd Peter Rich Edward Askew and Robert kilmer and
31. that they are accordingly at this presente in quiet possession
32. of her, and soe ought to bee, And he further deposeth That
33. his sayd brother Abraham Jacobson Larson did by and
34. accprding unto the orders and authority unto him to that
35. purpose give by and from Ambioen Larson and hellwick
36. Tagersons widdow the Owners and Proprietors of the said
37. shipp the Saint John of Larwick make sale of her unto Peter
38. Rich Edward Askew and John Dyson of London for and
39. in Consideration of the sume of sixe hundred pounds lawfull
40. English mony to him the said Abraham Jaconson Larosn
41. payd and satisfyed by them, and that in expectation f the
42. sayd sale the sayd Abraham hath delivered possession
43. of the sayd shipp the Saint John unto them the sayd Peter
44. Rich, Edward Askew and John Dyson, and that they are
45. accordingly at this present time (as they ought to bee) in quiett
46. possession of her; The premisses he deposeth for that he
47. was present at the making up of the bargains of thesale of
48. both the said shipps, saw the payment of the sayd summes of
49. money for them, and saw the delivery of the possession of both
50. of the sayd shipps by him predeposed.
