1. the ffore Maste, and that about ˹eight˺ dayes in the sayd
2. storme by reason of its violence and extremity the
3. ffore=Mast was carryed away together with the Boltspright
4. Insoemuch that the shipps Mariners were compelled
5. to putt up some peeces of mast that were lost and
6. some sailes patcht together, by the helpe whereof and
7. by the great care and paines=taking of the sayd
8. Master and Mariners (with Gods blessing thereupon)
9. they came unto kingsale, But he saith that some of
10. the said shipps Company (such was the violence of the
11. storme) did even dispaire, and did aske him this
12. deponent what he thought, whether notwithstanding
13. all they did or could doe, yet they should not save
14. their lives, and this deponent made answeare, that by
15. Gods blessing, and upon their great endeavours and
