                                           Examined on the said Allon
                 3:th                     Robert fframpton of limehouse
                                           Ma:er Shipwright late Carpenter of the
                                           Brazil ffrigot (Thomas Heath M:r)
                                           Aged 35 yeares or thereabouts sworne
                                           And Examined/


To the 1:th and 9:th arles of the said Allon Upon wch alone
hee is Examined by Direccon(?) / hee saith and deposeth that
hee well knoweth the arlate John ffernandez XXXX
who is a Portuguese, and is the Governor of Angola
under the King of Portugall, And saith the said ffernandez
was brought from ffarnambuco in the Brazil to Angola
in a Ship in Company of the said Brazil ffrigot
this Depo:t being then Carpenter of the said
Brazil ffrigot , and the said ffernandez arrived at
Angola about a yeere and halfe since, And at the
Time of the said ffernandez coming thither , the old
Portugall Governor time there was Expired, and by order
Of the King of Portugall \ as this Depo:t beleeveth hee
came from thence, in the said Brazil ffrigot,
And saith that while y:e said Brazil ffrigot lay at
Angola , there were two ships fitting out by order
of the said ffernandez to seize upon an English
ship wch was reported to be at Bengall, and this
Depo:t went on board one of the said ship at Angola^ <while she was fitting out>
And the Gunner of her likewise ^ <said (he)e> acknowledged to this
Depo:t that both the said ships were by order of the
said ffernandez to sail to Bengall to take an English
Ship there, And saith that when this Depo:t . went from
Angola in the Brazil ffrigot the said two ships
were fitted & manned and ready to sail upon the
said Designe , onely they wanted some water and
Provisions to be put onboard them; And saith that
since his coming into England hee hath heard
that one Perkins(?) was not(? ) of the said English ship
wch the said two ships were fitted & manned to
seize upon as aforesaid, and hath likewise hear d that
they did take her and her Lading , and Lastly hee
saith that of his Certain Knowledge both Angola
and Bengall are under the Dominion &
Subjection of the King of Portugall : and further cannot
Depose the mark of the said
