Notes
Thomas Fox
Thomas Fox and Thomas Ryder (eldest son of Sir Wiliam Ryder [TBC] were are trading in Guinea in 1655-59 period:
"... of calico have been entered by Thomas Ryder and Thomas Fox for Guinea, and the iron and half the calicoes (the latter belonging to Captain Connis) laden"[1]
Thomas Fox seems to have been in India sometime during 60-63 period (cf. P. 352, ccm 60-63). I suspect this is the son referred to in the letter, and who is now on a voyage in the Eagle to Guinea Coast
"[September 1667] James Hill, Thomas Fox, and Robert Woolley promise to clear their goods shortly."[2]
