The dispute was between on the one side Johann Baptista Juncker (a known part owner of one of the Silver Ships, the Saint George, Abraham Stockmann (a Hamburg merchant, who had also written insurance on another silver ship, the Saint John Evangelist), the heirs of the merchants Peter Finx and Duarte Esteves de Pina, and on the other side the Hamburg merchant Geronimo Snitquer, in whose name the insurance policy was made, though paid for by Vincent von Kampen.[104]
