Transcription thereabouts, the freight for the same beinthereabouts, the freight for the same being at<br /> two pence farthing or thereabouts Per lb (according to Charter Partie)<br /> amounting to 6116 lb sterling. The Custome at two pence Per pound<br /> five Per Cents abated, amounting to 5249 ''li'': 1 ''s'': 4 ''d'', and Algiers<br /> duty (being the tenth part of the said Custome) amounted<br /> to 524 ''li''. 18 ''s''. 2 ''d''. which was all the charges that should have<br /> been paid out of the said Pepper, amounting in the whole<br /> to 20277 ''li''. 19 ''s''. 6 ''d''. sterling, which being deducted out of the<br /> foresaid summe of 33152 ''li'' . (being the summe the said pepper<br /> would here have produced) there remaines 12874 ''li'' , - [?0] ''s'' . [XX]<br /> sterling, which summe , the said English Company are<br /> in this deponents estimate damnified by the interruption of the Dutch as aforesaid<br /> and they have also suffered losse in demorage of their<br /> ship (she being forced to stay there longer than she needed to have<br /> done) for twelve moneths at eight pound sterling Per day (?which]<br /> summe the said Company were and are by Charterparty bound to paye<br /> unto her owners) to the value of 2920 ''li'' . sterling or thereabouts<br /> so that the whole losse which the said Company have sustained by the<br /> Dutch their hindering the ''Advice'' from going into Bantam, and<br /> interrupting her in her trade as aforesaid amounts to the val[?ue]<br /> of about 15794 ''li'' . 00 ''s'' . 96 ''d''. sterling money. And the Algier duty (being the tenth part of the said<br /> Custome) amounting to 354 ''li''. 13 ''s''. 4d. In which summe (or thereabouts)<br /> he saith the said Company have suffered damage besides other<br /> damage for demorage of the said shipp 12 moneths longer then she<br /> needed to have stayed at seven pounds sterling per diem (being the summe<br /> which the said Company were and are bound by Charter Party to pay to her owners<br /> to the value of 2555 ''li''. sterling so that he judgeth their losse to be<br /> the whole (by meanes of the Dutch their interruption of the ''Dragon''<br /> her trade as aforesaid) 10787 ''li''. sterling or thereabouts.
